CLEO: The only thing that would scare me is if I one day became complacent, but the fact that I’m scared of it is a good indication that I will never let it happen.
JOEL: I’m afraid of fundamentalism. Of Tribalism.
CLEO: I feel like we all need to focus on the things that matter. With all the news, gossip, internet thrown in our face all day, a lot of people waste their time getting absorbed by nonsense. Many of the things we take for granted are luxuries we’ve only recently been able to have in this world. We need to remember that and not abuse the extra time many of us have been given. Use it for things that matter.
JOEL: I wish fewer people were governed by religious dogma. I wish we spent our collective human energy aiming to form unity and exploration
CLEO: The people I surround myself with constantly inspire me. And when I manage to make a difference in someone’s life, it motivates me to work harder so I have the opportunity to do more. JOEL: I'm inspired by my friends, the people I love. People that challenge themselves and their fears. People that aim so high that they have to risk failure.
CLEO: Compassion is something important to me. If we all put more effort into understanding, rather than defending, I think we would have an easier time dealing with conflicts.
JOEL: Loyalty, honesty, kindness, humor and generosity.
CLEO: If you want to have a good relationship, whether it be romantic or friendship, I believe you always have to act as the person you would want to be with. Show up for yourself and others will show up for you. JOEL: Always try to give more than you get.
CLEO: Do your best to be happy, that’s all. It has a domino effect, it will effect everything and everyone around you.
JOEL: Develop your intuition, then follow your instinct.
