Wages and terms are fair and reasonable, and comply at a minimum with national laws or industry standards whichever is higher.
child labour is not used
No person is employed who is below the minimum age for employment. Minimum age is the age of compulsory schooling, or not less than 15 years according to the ILO z on Minimum age.
no employment discrimination
Employees are treated with respect and dignity. Equality of opportunity and treatment regardless of race, colour, sex, religion, political opinion, nationality, social origin or other distinguishing characteristic shall be provided (ILO conventions 100 and 111).
the employment relationship is established
Obligations to employees under labour or social security laws and regulations arising from the regular employment relationship shall not be avoided through the use of labour-only contracting agreements, or through apprenticeship schemes where there is no real intention.
healthy and safe working environment
Working environment shall be hygienic and safe in accordance with international standards and national laws. Appropriate health and safety information and training are provided to employees. Safety includes e.g. fire alarms and evacuation drills, first aid equipment, safe handling of chemicals and machinery.
No form of extortion or bribery, including improper offers for payments to or from employees, or organisations, is tolerated.
